Windows 10 Pro as an OEM license: you activate it once and it stays bound to that motherboard forever: that is why it survives as many reformats as you want —unlike the single-use one, which is lost on the first— but it dies with the board. Meant for a machine that stays as it is — for compatibility with a specific program, or because it does not meet the Windows 11 requirements.
