TIPS

• ✓You can redeem as many cards as you want to your Apple Account balance; the 8-card limit only applies if you use them all together in a single checkout.
• ✓The App Store and the Apple Store are not the same: the App Store is the digital store (apps, games, subscriptions) and the Apple Store is the device store (iPhone, iPad, Mac, accessories). The balance works in both: if you build it up on your Apple Account, you can pay for a device on apple.com by signing in with your iCloud email and the balance is deducted from the total, but it has to ship to a residential address in the United States.

HOW DO I SET MY ACCOUNT TO THE US REGION?

The Apple Gift Card can only be redeemed if your Apple account is in the United States region. You can change it yourself from your phone, from the web or from a PC with iTunes — it is the same change, pick whichever is most convenient.

• •If the "None" option does not appear, it is almost always because you still have balance left or an active subscription: fix that and try again.
• •The billing address must be from the United States and consistent with the state and ZIP code. If you have a US mailbox, its address works.
• •Your past purchases stay in your history, but some content may not be available in the new region.
