Getting the Binance Card in Venezuela: sign-up, verification and the virtual Mastercard
How to open and verify a Binance account from Venezuela and request the Binance Card: requirements, fees, funding, and what to do if the app won't let you apply yet.
The short version
The Binance Card is a prepaid virtual Mastercard that spends the crypto sitting in your Binance account. There's no credit line: you only spend what you already hold. Binance started issuing it to Venezuelan accounts on August 11, 2026, and it is still rolling out in phases (as of October 2026 there is no general opening), so a fully verified account may not see the option yet.
Where we fit in: we top up your Binance balance and you pay us in bolívars (Pago Móvil or bank transfer) or any other method available in the store. You request the card yourself in the Binance app. Krosty Shop doesn't issue it, doesn't activate it and never logs into your account.

What Binance will ask from you
- You must be at least 18.
- A valid Venezuelan ID (cédula) or passport, plus a phone camera for the face scan.
- An email address or phone number you control.
- Venezuela as your country of residence, matching your document. Card availability is tied to the country on your verified profile.
- A personal account with full identity verification. No verification, no card.
All of this is necessary but not sufficient: in Venezuela Binance enables the card in batches, so a fully compliant account may still have to wait its turn (more on that in step 4).
Step 1: open your Binance account
- Install the official Binance app from the App Store or Google Play, or use this sign-up link.
- Sign up with your email or phone number and pick a password you don't use anywhere else.
- Enter the confirmation code Binance sends you.
- Check the optional Referral ID field. If you came through our link it should already read SZNILHPI; otherwise type it in or leave it blank.
- Accept Binance's terms and finish.
A note on our link, in plain terms: if you sign up through our link or with the code SZNILHPI, Binance may pay Krosty Shop a referral commission under its own program. It costs you nothing extra, it's entirely optional, and we top up your account either way. The code can only be added when the account is created; Binance generally won't attach it afterwards.
Step 2: get verified
- Open your profile in the app and go to Identity Verification.
- Choose Venezuela as your country of residence and fill in your details and address exactly as they appear on your document.
- Upload sharp photos of your ID or passport: no glare, all four corners in frame.
- Do the face scan somewhere well lit, without sunglasses or a cap.
- Wait for approval. Binance notifies you in the app and by email.
If you're rejected, the app usually tells you why (blurry photo, mismatched data). Fix it and resubmit; that process is strictly between you and Binance.
Step 3: lock the account down first
The card spends straight from your balance, so account security is card security.
- Turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator or Binance Authenticator) rather than SMS.
- Set an anti-phishing code so you can tell real Binance emails from fakes.
- Never share your Binance password or verification codes. To top up your Binance we only need your Pay ID, never your password or codes.
- Ignore anyone offering to sell you a card "slot". Binance doesn't sell them or hand them out in chat groups.
Step 4: request the card in the app
- Update the Binance app and log in.
- Search for Binance Card in the app (typing "Card" works) or open it from the services menu. Menu names move around between app versions.
- If you see Apply now, tap it, confirm your basic details and home address, and submit.
- Binance reviews the request. The official page for its August 2026 campaign says the virtual card is issued within about 5 minutes once approved.
- Once issued, reveal the card number, expiry date and CVV in the app after a security check, set a PIN and, if you want tap-to-pay, add it to Google Pay or Apple Pay.
No Apply button? Your account hasn't been enabled yet. You may see an option to join a waitlist or register interest; use it, keep your verification up to date and follow Binance's official channels, which is where new rollout phases are announced. There is no shortcut.
Step 5: fund it and set the spending order
The card has no balance of its own. When you pay, it draws from your Funding account first and then from Spot. You choose between 3 and 12 coins and the order they're spent in. Supported assets include USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH and BNB; the full, current list is in the app.
- Put a stablecoin (USDT or USDC) at the top of the list so purchases don't come out of a volatile coin.
- If your selected coins don't cover the amount, the payment is declined. Check your balance before a subscription renews.
- The card dashboard lets you set your own spending caps and freeze the card when you're not using it.
Running low? Top up your Binance with us: you pay in bolívars (Pago Móvil or bank transfer) or another method available in the store, and we send the balance via Binance Pay to your Funding account, which is exactly where the card draws from first. A Binance top-up can't be paid with Binance Pay or USDT. It usually lands within minutes once your payment is confirmed, during business hours.
Where it works, and where it pays off
- Online shopping and subscriptions with merchants that take Mastercard. This is the sweet spot: the card runs in US dollars, so there's no bolívar conversion.
- Google Play and apps: you can add it as a payment method, just like a Zinli or Wally card. Each merchant approves or declines the charge, so start with a small purchase.
- In-store in Venezuela via Google Pay or Apple Pay. Be aware that local purchases settle in bolívars at a rate close to the official BCV rate; tests published in August 2026 came in slightly below it, so you lose value compared with what your USDT is worth.
- Being virtual-only, it can't be used for ATM cash withdrawals.
Some merchants refuse prepaid cards (car rentals, hotels, some airlines), and many services don't officially operate in Venezuela. Check the guide for the specific service in our guides section before you subscribe.
Fees, limits and cashback (checked October 2026)
- Binance's official page lists no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee. What you should check in the app is the conversion cost of the coin you spend, which varies by asset.
- Spending limits depend on your verification level and are shown in the card dashboard.
- Monthly cashback by spend: 1.5% under US$100, 2% from US$100 to US$1,000, and 3% from US$1,000, capped at the equivalent of US$100 a month and paid in USDC by the 10th of the following month.
- Cash withdrawals, payments to banks and financial platforms (account top-ups included), government payments and gambling don't earn cashback.
- These are Binance's terms and they change; the version in your app is the one that counts.
The downsides
- Access comes in phases: you can tick every box and still have to wait.
- It's not a bank account. If Binance restricts your account, the card stops with it.
- Binance has shut card programs in other regions before (Europe and parts of Latin America in 2023). Treat it as a way to pay, not a place to park savings.
- For purchases inside Venezuela, the bolívar conversion rarely works in your favor.
Frequently asked questions
Does Krosty Shop issue or activate the Binance Card?
No. You request the card yourself in the Binance app, and approval is entirely up to Binance. What we do is top up your Binance balance; you pay us in bolívars (Pago Móvil or bank transfer) or another method available in the store.
Do I have to use Krosty Shop's referral link or code?
No, it's optional. If you sign up with our link or the code SZNILHPI, Binance may pay Krosty Shop a referral commission under its own program, at no extra cost to you. We top up your account whether or not you used it.
Can I add the referral code after signing up?
Usually not. Binance links the code when the account is created, so make sure the Referral ID field shows SZNILHPI before you finish.
The app doesn't show an option to apply. What now?
Your account hasn't been enabled yet; Binance is opening the card in Venezuela in phases. Make sure your verification is approved with Venezuela as your country of residence, keep the app updated and follow Binance's official channels for new phases. Nobody can sell you a slot.
Which balance does the card spend?
Your Binance crypto balance: the Funding account first, then Spot, in the coin order you set. Putting USDT or USDC first keeps purchases from coming out of a volatile coin.
Can I pay for my Binance top-up with Binance Pay or USDT?
No. A wallet can't be topped up by paying with that same wallet. You can pay us in bolívars (Pago Móvil or bank transfer) or another method available in the store.
Does it work for Google Play, Netflix or Spotify?
It's a Mastercard, so you can add it wherever that network is accepted. Each merchant decides whether to approve the charge and some services don't officially operate in Venezuela, so try a small amount first and read the guide for that service.
Is it worth using at shops in Venezuela?
Usually not. Local purchases settle in bolívars at a rate close to the official BCV rate, below what your USDT is worth. It pays off for online purchases and subscriptions priced in US dollars.
